Daily Bread and daily cleansing; still rings in my heart today. He must have said it and preached it a thousand times.
“We ought to be shouting and running the creek” will also be with me forever.
He told me when he preached my ordination; “Rick, sometimes you will have to stand alone.” He was right.
He will be missed but his legacy lives on and his treasures were laid up in heaven.

Dear Brown brothers and Family,
I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your Father.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Brown many years ago. I talked with him about a jeep he had at that time - I had a lot of questions which he was happy to answer. That day, there was a festival in Bryson City. I asked Mr. Brown if he would meet us there. He said he would be "putting mail in people's boxes". I told him I would save a chair for him if he could come later. He replied with some sharp witted hilarious answer that I can't recall now ...so long ago. I really enjoyed meeting and talking with him.
Sincerely, John Medley

A true man of GOD. What a example this man and family made on my childhood. The best memories from our childhood is when the church bus with Preacher Brown came pulling up to get us rather for church or skating . I came to know the Lord through Preacher Brown and was Baptized in Deep Creek. No matter the hardships in life the Lord always would allow me to run into him at a ball game , grocery store or funeral and he always knew the right prayer and advice from the Bible that I needed. While I am saddened to hear of this news today from my sister. I know he is rejoicing with the Lord.
Love and Condolences to the Brown family.
Kind Regards, Sandy Kirkland
