Obituary of Mary Catherine Cook

Mary Catherine Cook, 68, of Bryson City passed away August 28, 2023, at her home. Born November 19,1954 in Macon County to the late Lawrence Grady Dalton and Edna Corinne Raby Dalton. She lived in Swain County for over 40 years after the loss of her late husband John Cook. She loved her family and enjoyed talking with her family and friends. She brought laughter and joy to her loved ones, and to everyone she met.
In addition to her late husband and parents she is preceded in death by three brothers: Robert Edward Dalton, Arthur Jerry Dalton, and James Lewis Dalton, and a sister Dora Ann Vinson.
She is survived by her siblings: Joseph L. Dalton and Sarah J. Dalton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral home September 7, 2023, at 7pm with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the services.
