Wanda Smith Roland, 72, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 29, 2023. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Hazel Thomas Smith.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sonny Smith, Charles Smith, Linda Jenkins, and Tim Smith.
She is survived by her son, James Roland; grandchildren, Kathryn Roland, Blaykeleigh Roland, Trey Caulkins; nieces and nephews, Adam Smith (Christina), Rebecca Woodard (Keith), Aaron Smith (Amy), Sherri Green (Charlie), Carrie Winchester, Lisa Sampson (Rocky), Brian Jenkins (Jessica), and Nathan Jenkins (Becky).
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Conleys Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
