I always thought of Russel as a good-natured man, always friendly and easy-going. As a child growing up on Alarka, I associated him with Mt. Vernon Freewill Baptist Church. He was there during Vacation Bible School helping out in some way. My thoughts, of course, are with Elsie and the family. With warm wishes.

To the entire Cloer family,
Sending our sincere condolences for the loss of your beloved. May our Lord comfort and strengthen you in the days to come as only he can. As we know, he is the only true source of peace given to us from heaven above. Hold each other close here on earth and be encouraged by the loving memories of the man made “ Russell Cloer”.
Love in Christ, Jean Brady and family

There was nothing better than his hugs, you could feel his love encompassing you. I am in aww of his meekness, such a tender and kind man with a huge heart, yet a big stature. Always warm and welcoming with such a precious soul, I truly believe he was one of Gods Special ones. I will forever be thankful that God allowed me to be part of his life, and I will cherish each memory we made. I will miss him dearly, but I will see him again, until then I will strive to be more like him, to show Gods love to others the way he did. I am so thankful as a child I had such a “big” shadow to follow.
