Obituary of Deborah Joan Grant Patterson

Deborah Joan Grant Patterson, 63, of Waco, Texas, passed away on June 11, 2023 at home surrounded by family in Schulenburg, Texas. Deborah was born in Bremerton, Washington on October 17, 1959. Deborah was a lifelong animal lover and worked for many years as a vet tech and pet groomer. She was deeply devoted to her family, especially her son and daughter. She enjoyed spending lots of time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, William Biles and wife, Marie; sister, Jane Grant and fiancé Pat Thompson; sister, Rachel Grant, daughter, Jessica Cernosek and husband, Craig; son, Curtis Harris and wife, Chelsey; grandchildren: Gabrielle Cernosek, Hannah Bryant, Briana Bryant, Emily Bryant, Olivia Cernosek, Danny Mhyer Harris and Rachelle Brown as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Retta Jo Grant and her father, Jesse Mitchell Grant; brothers: Jesse, Jerry, Charles and grandson, Douglas Harris. Previously A Celebration of Life was held in Waco, Texas on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at her brother, William Biles, (Marie) home. Deborah’s family and friends will have a final celebration of her life on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Her family will receive friends at Silvermine Missionary Baptist Church, of which she was a member, from 12:00 -1:00. Pastor Eddie Taylor will officiate the service at 1:00. Following the service Deborah will be laid to rest beside her Mother and Daddy in the Silvermine Missionary Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Silvermine Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Fund or your local animal shelter.
