Obituary of Virginia A. Wheeler

Virginia Ann (Ginger) Partridge Wheeler, 78, of Bryson City, NC passed away at home on June25, 2024, after an extended illness.
Ginger was born in Clarkston, GA to Martin and Doris Partridge. She spent her career doing research, as a lab tech for the CDC, Emory Univ. Hospital and others. Her passions were, reading and cats, she especially enjoyed raising show cats.
Ginger is survived by her spouse of 59 years, Joe Wheeler of Bryson City, sister, Sandra Johnson (Bobby) of Snellville, GA, sister-in-law, Marian Griffin McGraw of Brunswick, GA, nieces, nephews and cousins along with their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Doris Partridge and a sister, Terry Coleman.
A memorial service will be held at Tom Wages Funeral Services, 3705 Hwy 78 W, Snellville, GA, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10am. Cremation was handled by Crisp Funeral Home, Bryson City.
Joe would like to thank Ginger’s immediate family for all the support during her illness. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the care workers with Four Seasons Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Four Seasons Foundation: https://fourseasonsfdn.org
