Mary Alice Woodard (Myrt), 79, of Whittier NC went home to be with the Lord Sunday July 7, 2024. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Vannie Woodard and Edith Childers Woodard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Woodard Hooper.
She is survived by her sister, Norma McClure and husband Steve of Sylva; special niece, Michelle Hooper of Whittier; two nephews, Brandon Hooper and wife Shannon of Sylva, and Steven McClure of Whittier; great nieces and nephews, Hunter Humphrey, Myra Humphrey, Hayden Hooper, Laynei Hooper; great great niece, Maliyah Humphrey; special cousin, Mark Jones.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Bryson City Church of God. Revs. Marty Pressley and Linda Wike will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Church.
