Obituary of Robb R. Parton

Bryson City Dateline Robb R. Parton, 59, of the Lauada Community went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at his residence. A native of Washington State, he has been a resident of Swain County for most of his life. He is the son of Frank and Irene Parton of Bryson City. He is survived by his wife, Melody W. Parton; four children, Nicki Parton Vogel and husband Dan of Rutherfordton, Robin Parton Pate and husband Trace of Knoxville, TN, Sara Parton of Bryson City, Frank Parton of Rutherfordton; six grandchildren, Faith and Levi Vogel, Sydney and Sophie Pate, Audrey and Clay Seagle; three sisters, Pat Taylor of Canton, Shelia Little of Murphy, Karen Hasenauer of Sebastian, FL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Sawmill Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Percy Cunningham will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Crisp Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 min. prior to the service.
