To the Family and Friends of Momma Gene:
I offer to you with all of my heart a prayer of peace. I first met Momma Gene when she was living with Uncle Goingback (GB) and Mary U.Chiltoskey, back in 1986. I trained in my traditional culture and medicine with Momma Gene for the first year and then she sent me to Crosslin F. Smith, in the Cherokee Nation to continue my training. She took me in, fed me, gave me a place to sleep, had me join in with her family, and then called me her own, and I called her mine. Over the years we have still been together and I am so fortunate to have know and loved this woman. She will live forever in my heart and in my soul and through my medicine.
