Obituary of Hazel Ann Grant Lindsay
Hazel Ann Grant Lindsay, 94, of the Wesser Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 10, 2011 in Tsali Care Center. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late John and Cora Jane DeHart Grant. She was a member of Nantahala Baptist Church. She was wife of the late Carroll Lindsay. She also was preceded in death by a son, Quentin Lindsay and his wife Mary; and four brothers.
She is survived by three children, Ruth A. Grindle and husband Robert of Bryson City, Roy P. Lindsay and wife Beulah of Bryson City, Scott Lindsay and wife Lisa of Murphy; seven grandchildren, Rob Lindsay, Vicki Lindsay, Joe Grindle, Cheri Cloer, Tammy Lindsay, Reagan Lindsay, Grant Lindsay; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Dillard Grant and wife Iva of Canton, Odell Grant and wife Jean of Bryson City; and two sisters, Helen Dills of Trinity, NC, Lynn Gibson of Archdale, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Scott Lindsay and Rev. J.D. Grant will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
