Obituary of Haley Marie Cole

Haley Marie Cole, 14, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 27, 2010 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of Tanya Earls Gibson of Bryson City and Ronnie Cole, Jr. of Bryson City. Haley had finished the 8th grade at Swain County Middle School where she was a New Century Scholar. She was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church. Haley loved her family and life. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She had a smile that would light up the world. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Opal Marie Earls.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Krysten Rene Gibson of the home; paternal grandparents, Alice and James King of Bryson City, Ron Cole, Sr. of Bryson City; paternal great grandmother, Ruth Cole of Cashiers; three aunts, Annabelle Thomas and husband Ira of Dallas, NC, Kristie Roberts and husband Donnie of Dallas, NC, Rhonda Thomas of Bryson City; one uncle, Robert Cole of Sylva; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Swain County High School Gymnasium. Revs. Earl King and Lewis Crisp will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the High School Gymnasium.
