Billy Marvin Williams, 78, of the Needmore Community went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 25th, 2010 at his residence. A native of Concord, NC he had been a resident of Swain County for the past 20 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a musician and had a band called "Bill Williams and the Star Lighters". He was preceded in death by a son, Terry and a daughter Anieta and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Gertrude Allen Williams, two daughters, Robin of Raleigh, NC, and Judy of High Point, NC.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Lindsay will officiate with burial in the Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
