Obituary of Ella Marie Sequoyah Carroll

Cherokee Dateline Ella Marie Sequoyah Carroll, 69, of the Big Cove Community went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in a Cherokee Hospital. A native of Cherokee, she was the duaghter of the late Amoneeta and Ella Mae Pheasant Sequoyah. She also was preceded in death by a son, Kermit Gaston Carroll. She is survived by one daughter, Tonya Lynn Carroll of Cherokee; one son, Earl Thomas Carroll of Cherokee; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three adopted grandchildren, Jonathan, Adia, and Eloise Frady; three sisters, Rachel Mashburn of Cherokee, Vera Wildcat of Cherokee, Mary Swayney of Sylva; and one brother, Amoneeta Sequoyah, Jr. of Cherokee. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Big Cove Baptist Church. Rev. James (Bo) Parris will officiate with burial in the Hill Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 4:00 p.m. Friday by Crisp Funeral Home to await the hour of service.
