Mack M. Howard, 80, of the Franklin Grove Community went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 14th, 2010 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Cling and Maude Howard. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a retired logger in the state of Washington. He was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. Mack was an avid gospel Music Lover. He was preceded in death by several siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Roberta Maney Howard: two sons, Tom Howard of Little Rock, Arkansas, and David Howard of Elma, Wash: three grandchildren: one great grandson: three sisters, Sue Jenkins of Alabama, Clercy Brogden of Oregon, and Doris Zerba of Wash.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday October 24th, 2010 at Deep Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Cogdill will officiate.
Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
