Richard D. Wiggins, 48, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 31st, 2010 at home. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Wade and Flonnie Howard Wiggins. He was a dedicated employee of Rentenbach Inc. and was a youth Basketball Coach. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Hyde Wiggins; one daughter Courtney Danielle Wiggins and her mom Sandra (Sam) of Tuscaloosa, ALA; two step children, Nathaniel Justin Wade of Cherokee, Brandi Wade Sequoyah of Bryson City; three step grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Chuculate, Judy Collins, and Jane Rowland all of Bryson City; four brothers, Reggie Wiggins of Bryson City, Bo Wiggins, Randy Wiggins, and Bryan Wiggins all of Tuscaloosa, ALA; and many special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Midway Baptist Church. Revs. Mark Sale, John Orr and Mike Cogdill will officiate with burial in Laurel Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 PM Tuesday at Crisp Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 min prior to the service.
