Christa Pointke, 75, of the Panther Creek Community passed away Friday, December 25th, 2009 in a Murphy Medical Center. Born in Germany, she had lived in Graham County for the past 10 years. She was a retired Postal Worker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Anne Dietsch Hiller and she was the wife of the late Bernhard Pointke who died October 5, 2008.
She is survived by 5 children, Judith Yarber and husband Chris of Orlando, Fla., Maria Trantham and husband Larry of Almond, Bernadette Scott and husband Charlie of Nashville, TN., Richard Pointke of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Renee Shiffler and husband Ernie of Rossford, OH. 7 Grandchildren, Eric Bryan and wife Kylie, Jessica Williams, Phillip Thomas, Lauren Yarber, Tabitha Shiffler, and Michael and Rachel Scott, two great grandchildren, Quenton and Haley Sizemore, one sister Anneliesa Retterath, and one brother Paul Hiller.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of which she was a member. Father Shawn Oneal will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Crisp Funeral Home.
