This is for Shirley Loftis. I am Peggy Hampton Benoy that lived close to you in Harden, NC. We played together & grew up together. I have been thinking about you for a long time and have tried to find you as Shirley Mc Gaha. I see you have a different name now. I was searching for you when I found your Mother's Obituary. I am so sorry to know about your Mother's death & Roy's death. Please respond to me at 704 868-8853 or pegbenoy@bellsouth.net. I would love to hear from you.

Ms. Dessie was such a sweet lady. Getting to spend time with her while Rachel was at Mountain View Manor was such a blessing. She was truly a saint of God.

Shirley and Ellen and Family, I got to know Miss Dessie at the nursing home because my mother is there. I will miss seeing her up and down the hall with you girls by her side. Her hair was always fixed so beautifully and you did such a great job taking care of your mother. Remember that she is at peace now with no more pain and suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time and I will miss you as I go and come at the nursing home each day.

Folks, I am so sorry for your loss but I'm sure that the good memories of a GRAND LADY will survive the grief you are feeling now.
Dessie will always be a person in my memory who shared the kindness of a caring friend with my Mother and Daddy. Mother often told me of the little kindnesses she showed her neighbors. I remember returning food containers to her house after deaths in our family.
I'm sorry I won't be able to be with you in person this week but my good thoughts and prayers will be.
God is with you and she is with Him. At 90, we can't really ask for more than that.
Talmadge (and Marjorie) Wiggins

So sorry to hear about the passing of such a sweet woman. Loved her smile and her soft spoken voice all the years that we worked together at Alarka. Heaven has surely gained an Angel.
