Edna Marie Ledford Proctor, 89, of Pine Ave, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 4th, 2011 in Gordon Hospice House of Statesville, NC. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred H and Elizabeth Barker Ledford. She was a seamstress at a Textile Mill in Mooresville, NC and also worked at Army-Navy store in Fletcher, NC.
She also was preceded in death by her husband Neal James Proctor: 10 brothers and sisters: and 5 children.
She is survived by two daughters: Betty Adams and husband Larry E. of Mooresville, and Nora Proctor Jordan and husband Kenneth W. of Mooresville; 5 grandchildren; Niki Deese, Kathy Sing, Tom Jordan, Carol McClure, and Jennifer Fowler; 8 great grandchildren; Ashley Ritchie, Cary Jackson, Amee Sing-Tho, Travis Deese, Jamie Fowler, Jessy Fowler, Hunter McClure, and Joshua McClure.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Tony Matthews and Tom Jordan will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home.
