Gladys Ball Ensley, 79, of the Buckners Branch Community, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Carrie Lequire Ball and wife of the late Ross Ensley. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosa Ensley, and Christine Bryant.
She is survived by one daughter, Irene Thomas of Bryson City; one son Billy Ensley and friend Linda Stewart of Bryson City; A faithful friend, Bob Burress of Canton; three grandchildren, Johnny Ensley and wife Dena, Wesley Ensley, and Haley Carter; one great grandson, Ross Ensley; three sisters, Eva, Mary, and Marlyn; and three brothers, John, Eugene, and Reuben Ball.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday March 10th in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Ray Ball will officiate with burial in the Jenkins Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
