Raymond (Newell) Ward, 56, of School House Hill, passed away Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011 at his home. A lifelong resident of Swain County he was the son of the late Raymond and Edna Cochran Ward. He attended Hillside Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Jeremy Ward; one daughter, Bryttany Ward; two sisters, Barbara Ward Hamilton and husband Joe of Sylva, and Vickie Ward McMahan of Sylva; Grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 27th in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Al Alemaney will officiate with burial in Round Top Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to West Care Hospice or American Cancer Society.
