Paul Edward Kane, 85, of the Kirklands Creek Community, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 25th, 2011 at his home. A native of Florida, he had been a resident of Swain County since 1998. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by five children: Carl Schmitz of Germany, Paul H. Schmitz of West VA., Karen Parris of Tampa, FLA, James F. Schmitz of Aniheim, CA, and Saundra L. Kirkland of Bryson City, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one brother James Schmitz of Tampa, FLA.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Ray Ball will officiate.
