Dennis (Hot Rod ) Baines, 46, of Passmore Lane, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday January 19th, 2010 at his residence. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Loyd and Polly Birchfield Baines of Bryson City. His hobby and Love was building and Drag Racing Cars. Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra D. Baines, 1 Sister Connie Gunter and 2 brothers Jimmy and Kenny Baines.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his son, Baxter Baines of the home.
2 Sisters- Debbie Tittle of Dallas, NC
Donna Norton of Bryson City
Several nieces, nephews and several friends also survive.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of CrispFuneral Home, the Rev. Charles Ray Ball officiating with burial in Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Friday at the Funeral Home
