Calwood Smith Somers III, 72, of 1627 Round Hill Road, Bryson City, formerly of Wye Mills, MD went home to be with the Lord on May 15, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calwood and Charlotte Somers; sister, Rhetta Carroll of Upper Marlboro, MD; and grandson, Logan Dean Somers of Bryson City.
He is survived by Vivian Greene of Bryson City; two sons, Nathan Dean Somers (ILesia) of Bryson City, Calwood Smith Somers IV (Kelly) of Easton, MD; grandson, Nathan Dustin Somers of Portland, OR; two granddaughters, Kiley and Brittany Somers; a great granddaughter, Madelyn B. Johnson of Easton, MD; and many other family members and friends whom loved him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Donald Howard will officiate.
The family requests no flowers be sent and that memorials be made to the charity of one's choice.
