Christin Nicole McGaha Phillips, 28, of the Robinson Gap Community went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 20, 2011. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of Donald and Beth McGaha of Bryson City. She was preceded in death by a brother, D.J. McGaha, and brother-in-law, Jeff Phillips, and was a loving mother, wife, and daughter.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Timothy Phillips; two children, Alexis Nicole and Summer Ann Phillips both of the home; grandparents, Hazel Schultz and husband Roy of Bryson City, James Houser of Lincolnton, Donnie McGaha and wife Ellen of Bryson City, Patsy Maney of Bryson City, Janice Phillips and the late Buck of Bryson City; great grandmothers, Bertie Combs of Bryson City, Dorsie Houser of Lincolnton, Ethel Breedlove of Bryson City; and brother-in-law, Christopher James Phillips and wife Stacy of Bryson City.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Rev. Benji Collins will officiate with burial in Laurel Branch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Thursday at the church.
