Obituary of Carol Johnson

Cherokee Dateline Carol Jean Maney Johnson, 76, of the Big Y Community passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Tsali Care Center. She was a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. She was the daughter of the late Emma and Jake Maney. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Norman Maney; two sisters, Dorothy Johnson, Alyne Bradley; one son, Charles "Hump" Crowe; and her loving husband, Howard Johnson. She is survived by her son, Carroll J. Crowe; sisters, Alice Sequoyah, Beatrice Carver, Linda Wiggins; brother, Jim Ed Maney all of Cherokee; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Ray Kinsland will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
