Dennis Thomas, 70, of Bryson City passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Walter and Maggie Ledford Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Woods and sister, Lillian Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Patsy Thomas; daughter, Kim King of Virginia; two granddaughters, Angela and Katie Church; one grandson, Ryan Woods; brother, Edward Thomas; sister, June Fitzgerald; and two best friends, Edward Winchester and Allen Glanville.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Swain Memorial Park. Rev. Paul Sale will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 pm Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Parkplace Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060, or to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
