Obituary of Clyde Edward Kirkland

Clyde Edward Kirkland, 63, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord Friday March 20, 2015 in a Buncombe County Hospital. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late James Burrell and Vada McClure Kirkland.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; Ema Jean Jones and Marie Turpin. He was a member of Round Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Betty Jean Kirkland; three children, James Edward Kirkland (Lucella Buffington), David Lee Kirkland (Crystal Holt), and Bobby Joe Kirkland (Sandy Kirkland) all of Bryson City; nine grandchildren; three sisters in-law, Lexie, Lois, Edith, and brother in-law Grover.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Dwayne Kirkland will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7 PM until 9 PM Monday at the funeral home.
