Obituary of Willis Albert Queen

Willis Albert (Jim) Queen, 78, of Cherokee, passed away Monday April 27, 2015 after a period of declining health. A native of Cherokee, he was the son of the late Willis Albert (Pete) Queen and Ethel Bigmeat. He was a retired mechanic and a member of Bethebara Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran.
He is survived by five children; Marie P. Junaluska, Donna Lee Owl, Dana Nelson, Joel Queen, and Heather Leigh Queen; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Maria Queen Smith, Helen Queen Raby; two brothers Robert Lynn Queen, and Irvin Owl.
He enjoyed watching racing, fishing, and enjoyed his grandkids.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.
