Obituary of Olene Maney

Olene Brendle Maney, 68, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, July 2, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Edith Brendle. She is survived by one son, David Maney and wife Rachel of Idaho; one daughter, Eileen Maney Birkel and husband Chris of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Adam Cochran of Marion, NC, Tyler Cochran of Charleston, SC, and Haley Marie Maney of Bryson City. She is also survived by Wayne and wife Ollie of Bryson City, Lonnie and wife Jessie of Bryson City, Elaine and husband Bruce Bolick of Atlanta, GA, and Bernice and husband Rick of Sylva, NC as well as many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at the Bryson City Church of God of which she was a member for 28 ½ years. Bro. Marty Pressley, Bro. Dale Greene, and her Brother, Wayne Brendle will officiate with burial in the Brendle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
