Obituary of Irene Denise Gibson

Idy (Irene) Paredes-Gibson, 52, of the Galbreath Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 23, 2015. A native of Baltimore City, MD and longtime resident of Swain County, NC she was the daughter of Clara Clark of Washington and the late Lawrence Desmoines.
She is survived by her husband, David Gibson; three sons, Adam Paredes and wife Kelly of Bryson City, Steven Paredes and wife Joselyn of Charlotte, NC, Daniel Gibson and wife Ashley of Bryson City; three grandchildren, Austin Paredes, Selenna Paredes, Emma Gibson; one sister, Gloria Kodahl; two brothers, Edward Desmoines, Ronald Demoines; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Taylor will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm Friday at the funeral home.
