Nell Sins, 87, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 14, 2015. A native of Tampa, FL, she was the daughter of the late Jessie (Pappy) and Nell Johnston.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Conrad Johnston and Bertram Johnston.
Nell was a graduate of Eastman School of Music and earned a Doctorate Degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia. Nell taught music at the University of South Carolina.
She is survived by one daughter, Anne Reinert and husband Bill of Bryson City; one son, Paul Sins and wife Nina of Woodstock, GA; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, Nick, Cooper, Vivian, Ava, Elke and Sasha; one brother, Donald Johnston and wife Justine of Cary, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
