Obituary of Sidney Allen Cochran

Sidney A. Cochran, 81, of Alarka went home to be with the Lord December 4, 2015 at his residence. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Harley and Fannie Burr Cochran. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister and brother, one grandson and one great grandson. He was a member and deacon of Alarka Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mashburn Cochran; son, Rickey and Judy Cochran; son, Jason and Lisa Cochran; daughter, Lesia and Dean Somers; daughter, Tina and Ray Ruais; brothers, Dock, Ueastes, Dewey, Fred and Cliff Cochran; sisters, Mary Ingle and Gearldine Gunter. He has 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, December 69, 2015 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. James (Bo) Brown and Tim Barker will officiate with burial in the Brendle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
