Obituary of Edna Jenkins

Edna D. Anthony Jenkins, 93, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 15, 2016.
She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. Edna was active in the Jail Ministry in Swain County and retired as a nurse from Swain County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charlie Anthony and Bill Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her son, Charlie Anthony Jr.
She is survived by two sons, James Anthony and wife Wanda of Jacksonville, FL, David Anthony of Bryson City; one daughter, Margaret McCurry of Bryson City; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. William Anthony will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Monday at the funeral home.
