Camellia Watson Autrey (Connie), 63, of Bryson City, N.C. passed Saturday, December 12, 2015. She was born June 8, 1952 to Edward Benjamin Watson, Jr. and Ann Evelyn Elliot Watson in Bryson City, N.C.
A native of Swain County, she relocated to Bryson City from Texas in 2014. Connie is survived by her mother Evelyn Watson of Asheville, N.C., two sons: Brandon Shane Asbury (Laura & sons Landon and Cooper) of Louisville TN and Shannon Brock Asbury (Aleisha) of Knoxville, T.N., sister: Brenda W. Moscript (daughter Lea) of Knoxville, brothers: Edward B. Watson III (Sharon) of Bryson City and M. Charles Watson (Sherry & daughters Kayla and Kelsey of Asheville, step sons Clint, Lee & Mike Autrey of Texas as well as many other relatives and friends. Connie loved being outdoors, animals, skiing, fishing, arts & crafts, DIY projects and travel. She never met a stranger and was eager to take on challenges.
She is preceded in death by her father, Edward, husband, Michael Autrey, and Edwin Asbury.
A celebration of her life will take place at noon, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Deep Creek Baptist Church Pavilion in Bryson City. The Rev. Ken Sausedo will officiate. The service will be followed by reception and fellowship
