We are greatly saddened to hear of Lula's passing. She has made a great impact on our lives over the years. My husband and I met her in the 1980s when we were just kids at the Joy Center in KY. We enjoyed visiting her over the years and even took our son, nephew, and niece to meet her a few years ago when we visited Cherokee. Never have we met a sweeter lady than Lula. Her kindness and generosity to the ministry here has been greatly appreciated. She has touched more children in this area than she ever knew. My husband is the pastor at the Risen Son Outreach where Thom & Chris Denman are directors now. Since beginning this new ministry in 2012, Lula's support has continued to impact childrens' lives in this area. Her memory will forever live on there too. Though, unfortunately, we are unable to be there for her funeral, we want her family to know that our thoughts and prayers are with them.
