One Thanksgiving many years ago, I received a panic call. It was my best friend, Mary, saying she forgot it was Thanksgiving and people were coming over to her house to eat! So my niece and I gathered up all our leftovers and hurried to her place. We prettied up the table and set the food out. The guests never knew the difference and all was well!
This is only one story in 46 years of close friendship with the funniest, craziest, caring, most thoughtful person in my life.
My life will sure have an empty spot without her.
Love to all the family, Betty Eddy.

Miss Mary was my bus driver when I lived in Timberlain Trails while attending Wentzville High School. I remember her being tough as nails - no B.S. on Miss Mary's bus! She also had a big heart, a great laugh and a kind spirit. I remember she would pass out candy canes to everyone at Christmas. She also kept the bus on the road and out of the ditch when the weather was icy - steady hand on the wheel even when we slid down the hill sideway during an ice storm! I really enjoyed keeping up with her through her daughter Cis and Loretta's Facebook posts. My heartfelt sympathy to the Standley family. Rest in peace Missy Mary - you were loved by so many.
