Obituary of Mary Standley

Mary Arneach Standley, 83, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on January 3, 2021. She was born in Cherokee to the late Jerome and Stella Bradley. Mary served her country in the U.S. Women’s Army Corp (WAC). She later worked as a School Bus driver in Wentzville, MO. She was involved in politics and was a member of the NIAWA and Eastern Star as well. She was also the Funniest Comic Elder 2007. She loved to travel, go loafin’, and going to rummage sales. In addition, she also enjoyed beadwork as a hobby. She is survived by her Husband Gerald Thomas Standley. In addition she is survived by seven children, Thomas E. Standley, DMD (Stephanie), Cis Moore (Mike), Ahinawake Littledave (David), Loretta Standley, DC (Bob), Samuel T. Standley (Paula), Gerald T. Standley, Jr., and Sara Makison (Jerry); nine grandchildren, Holly Volkmer, Karmen Jackson, Greg Volkmer, Joseph Scherer, Andrea Gutsche, Sheyahshe Littledave, Stephanie Meadors, Morgan Standley, and Tyler Deane; nine great-grandchildren, Terrell Bradley, Hailie Bradley, Jacob Sasfai, Kateri Barnier, Bryson Beach, Austin Meadors, Jade Gutsche, Aaron Beach, and Skylar Gutsche; five siblings, George ‘Crumb’ Arneach, Whick Bradley, Joyce Bradley, Herbert Bradley, and Jackie Raby. She is also survived by a special four legged daughter, Sally. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother George ‘Crumb’ Arneach, and a great-grandson, Nicholas Sequoia Sasfai. A grave side service will be held on January 6, 2021 at the Arneach Family Cemetery with Joe Wolfe officiating.
