To Archie's family--I knew Archie as a boy and spend many a happy day fishing along the banks of the Tuckasegee with him, Perry Fisher, Landon Crisp, Jackie Corbin, and others. Those were carefree days, and the old river rat who was Al Dorsey sort of kept an eye on all of us along with showing us plenty of tricks of the catfishing trade. I hadn't seen Archie in decades, although I did have a chance to talk with Jamie Fish about him briefly a year or two ago. Still, I remember him fondly and hope the family will find some small measure of consolation in knowing that his youth, like mine, was a wonderful one.
