Obituary of Stephen Lowery Colville

Stephen Lowery Colville, 69, of Bryson City joined his wife, Debbie, on Friday, June 7, 2024. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Reeves, Sr. and Hazel Moore Colville.
He owned and operated Steve’s Repair in Bryson City.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Reeves Colville, Jr., Laura Parton, and James “Jimbo” Colville; close cousin, Pat Colville.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Donna Seay; children of the heart, Kara Hill (Kevin), Kelly Carnes (Barry), and their children, Phoebe, Sophie, Jesse, Rae, and Eve; nieces and nephews, Kristin Parton, Karen Parton (Tyler), Stephen Parton, and Richard Parton (Kellie); several cousins, great nieces and nephews; and his dog, Ellie.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, June 17, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Peter Shaw will officiate with burial in the Bryson City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 pm Monday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Richard Parton, Stephen Parton, Roger Wiggins, Mark Davis, Steve Anderson, Brian Parsons, Barry Carnes, and Kevin Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elizabeth House, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731 or to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 234 Arlington Ave. Bryson City, NC 28713.
