Obituary of Travis Jamey Sizemore
Please share a memory of Travis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Travis Jamey Sizemore, 43, of Bryson City passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday,

preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ted and Irene Cole, paternal grandparents Troy
Sizemore and Bessie Mason Trumble, and several aunts and uncles.
Travis loved the outdoors and tending to his garden. He enjoyed his Chevy trucks, riding
motorcycles, watching superbike races, and going fishing any chance he got. He was a skilled

had a fun, silly sense of humor and a big heart for everyone and everything. Many years ago, he
worked with the US Forest Service as a firefighter. He loved to dance when he listened to music
and would sing at the top of his lungs. He was an avid fan of Alabama football.
He is survived by his parents James (Brenda) Sizemore of Franklin, NC, and Della (Stan) Cole
of Sylva, NC, his sister Ashley (Jerry) Dowdle of Sylva, children Quenton and Haley, niece and
nephew Amelia and Walker Dowdle, his partner Tamara McGee, many aunts, uncles, and
cousins, as well as his friends and beloved dog Hank.
